Praat is a free and open source speech analyzer software download filed under graphics software and made available by Paul Boersma and David Weenink for Windows.
The review for Praat has not been completed yet, but it was tested by an editor here on a PC and a list of features has been compiled; see below.
Praat is an application with which users will be able to analyze the spectrograms of sounds that are previously recorded. It is, for this reason, a tool designed by the professionals of this area and for those people who are familiarized with the linguistic studies, as it allows the users to analyze with detail all the sounds. Praat is a scientific software program for the analysis of speech in phonetics. Praat analyzes mono signals. But within certain limits, stereo signals can be recorded and saved, opened, and played. Praat (/ prɑːt /; Dutch: praːt (listen), 'talk') is a free computer software package for speech analysis in phonetics. It was designed, and continues to be developed, by Paul Boersma and David Weenink of the University of Amsterdam.
