BricsCAD and ARES Commander (pronounced: Ah-Rez) are similar in that they both perform like AutoCAD and both use Open DWG as their native file formats so they’re 100% compatible with AutoCAD files. BricsCAD has more 3D tools and more 3rd party add-on applications, whilst ARES Commander has better file sharing and drawing communication tools.
The file created in AutoCAD 2019 and restored in BricsCAD 18 I can successfully open in AutoCAD again. In some cases, AutoCAD proposes to call recovery. But there are no fatal errors. And after a single recovery in both programs, re-recovery is no longer required.

HVACPAC is an AutoCAD and BricsCAD app for HVAC and Piping design work in 2D and 3D.

HVACPAC includes all In-line duct fittings and equipment, air terminals and HVAC associated pipe work. HVACPAC was developed around South African standards (Which are similar to most countries) but can be customized to further needs if required and requested.

Currently metric is supported. If need for imperial let us know.

Installer for BricsCAD: HVACPAC-B18-30day Trial.exe Install Havapac then open BricsCAD and type appload, find the folder C:Hvapac-B18 and load Hvacsetup-B18.des. Type Hvacpac-B18 to load the software. Hvacpac can be run from the ribbon or the toolbars.

You might need to right-click on the exe, select properties and press the unlock button if you cannot start it after downloading.
